Engagement Rings, Made in Sydney

Every ring that leaves this house is made in the workshop at 139 Elizabeth Street. The design is drawn here, the stone is chosen here, the metal is worked here, and the setting is done by the people whose names are on the door.

The house approach

At Levendi, we believe every love story is unique and every engagement ring should be too.

A ring is designed around two things: the hand it will sit on and the stone it is built for. Nothing in the collection is fixed. A solitaire can be re-proportioned, a band widened, a setting lowered, a centre stone changed entirely — and most rings this house makes begin as exactly that conversation, rather than as a drawing from nothing.

The settings

The collection runs from timeless solitaires to softly glowing halos and delicate pavé settings. Alongside them the workshop makes trilogy settings, bezel and low-profile settings for a ring that will be worn every day, and sculptural bands whose form is the design rather than a frame for it.

Rings are crafted in platinum, or in 18ct white, yellow or rose gold, and in two-tone designs combining different metals in a single piece.

The stones

Each piece is fully customisable. Total carat weight and stone size, diamond colour, clarity and cut are all chosen at the consultation, alongside the metal, so the specification suits the design and the budget together rather than one after the other.

Beyond white diamonds the house works with champagne, cognac and soft yellow diamonds, with Argyle pink diamonds, and with Australian sapphires, spinels, tourmalines, emeralds and one-of-a-kind coloured gemstones. Stones for the high jewellery pieces are personally selected by Mike and Panos Levendi.

Natural and laboratory-grown

Natural diamonds are sourced from trusted, ethical partners, conflict-free and fully traceable. Laboratory-grown diamonds are chemically and optically identical to natural diamonds, created in controlled conditions, and offer consistent quality at a lower environmental footprint.

Each piece is customisable with lab-grown, natural, or coloured diamonds, and the choice is made with you at the consultation.

The process

One

The consultation

We take the time to understand your vision and preferences in detail. Complimentary, in the showroom or online.

Two

The design

Sketches, 3D CAD renders and material selections, refined with our designers, jewellers and gemmologists until every proportion and setting detail is resolved.

Three

The making

The piece is handcrafted at the bench, set by our master setters, then polished and finished by hand. Mike Levendi reviews each piece before it leaves the workshop.

Most jewellery pieces are crafted within one to four weeks, depending on the availability of the selected diamonds or gemstones. Made-to-order pieces should be allowed approximately four weeks for crafting and delivery. Custom sourcing or intricate designs may require additional time, which is confirmed during your consultation.

What it costs

Many pieces are shown as price on application, because the price is not a property of the design. It follows the stone specification, the metal and any customisations made, and it is quoted in writing once those are settled.

Sizing

Ring size is confirmed at the consultation. If the ring is a surprise, bring a ring she already wears on that finger and the workshop can size from it.
