Questions
The things we are asked most often at the counter, answered the way we would answer them there.
Do I need an appointment, and can it be held online?
A consultation is complimentary and can be booked online or by phone, and appointments are set aside for one client at a time so that pieces can be brought out and seen properly. We offer both in-store and online appointments, with consultations available via your preferred method of communication.
Appointments are recommended so the right person and the right pieces are ready; you are welcome to call ahead.
Where are you, and when are you open?
139 Elizabeth Street, Sydney NSW 2000. Monday to Wednesday 9.30am–5.30pm, Thursday 9.30am–7pm, Friday 9.30am–5.30pm, Saturday 9.30am–5pm, closed Sunday. The workshop answers the phone on +61 2 9231 1088 during those hours.
How long does a piece take to make?
Most jewellery pieces are crafted within one to four weeks, depending on the availability of the selected diamonds or gemstones. Made-to-order pieces should be allowed approximately four weeks for crafting and delivery. Custom sourcing or intricate designs may require additional time, which is confirmed during your consultation.
How do I find her ring size without asking?
Bring a ring she already wears on that finger and we can size from it at the consultation.
What metals can a piece be made in?
All jewellery can be crafted in platinum, in 18ct white, yellow or rose gold, or in two-tone designs combining different metals in a single piece.
Natural or laboratory-grown diamonds?
Natural diamonds are sourced from trusted, ethical partners, conflict-free, fully traceable, and selected for rarity and enduring value. Laboratory-grown diamonds are created in controlled environments using technology that replicates natural diamond formation; they are chemically and optically identical to natural diamonds and carry a lower environmental footprint.
Each piece is customisable with lab-grown, natural, or coloured diamonds, and the choice is made with you at the consultation.
Can I change the stones or the proportions of a design in the collection?
Yes. Each piece is fully customisable — total carat weight and stone size, diamond colour, clarity and cut, natural or laboratory-grown, or an alternative gemstone such as sapphire, ruby, emerald, aquamarine, tourmaline or tanzanite.
Why does a piece say “price on application”?
Because the price is not a property of the design. It follows the stone specification, the metal and any customisations made, and it is quoted once those are settled. Listed prices may vary for the same reason.
How should I care for a piece?
Remove jewellery before sleeping, showering, swimming or exercising, and avoid contact with perfumes, lotions, hairsprays and cleaning products. Clean gently with a soft, lint-free cloth; for a deeper clean, soak in lukewarm water with a mild soap and brush gently with a soft toothbrush, then rinse and dry. Avoid ultrasonic cleaners unless you are certain they are safe for the piece. Store each item separately in a soft pouch or its box. Pearls and softer stones such as opal and turquoise should be kept away from water and chemicals, and white gold may require occasional rhodium plating to maintain its finish.
Can I bring a piece in to be cleaned and checked?
Yes. Bring your jewellery to the boutique to have it cleaned and inspected once a year, so that settings can be checked and the piece kept in condition.
Do you repair or remake jewellery you did not make?
Bring the piece in with any certificates you hold and it is looked at with you at the counter. Repairs and remakes are quoted on inspection.
Do you provide valuations for insurance?
Bring the piece in with any certificates you hold. Valuations are quoted on inspection.
How is a piece delivered?
Orders are processed within one to three business days of confirmation, and delivery typically takes five to ten business days depending on destination and courier. Sydney same-day courier delivery is available on in-stock pieces. Once dispatched you receive an email with tracking. In-stock pieces can also be collected in store.
What is your returns and exchange policy?
Refunds are available only for online orders where stock is not immediately available. In-store purchases are not eligible for refunds, and gift cards are non-refundable. Exchanges are issued as a credit note with no expiry date, which can be put toward an item of equal or greater value. Contact info@levendi.com promptly on receiving the goods; items for exchange or credit must be returned within fourteen days, unused, with the original packaging, receipt and certificates. Online returns are sent by post or registered courier at the sender’s expense. Opened jewellery cleaners or solutions cannot be exchanged, and clearance items are final.
